Cropping and docking are illegal here, so most of our dobes are au natural, except for imported ones :)

He grabbed a tiny piece of corn cob from the bin and couldn't pass it, so had to have it surgically removed :( Scary thing is, I remember him stealing it and keeping a real close eye on his poo to see if he'd pass it, because it wasn't that big, and after a few days assumed it was gone as all was fine.
It was almost 3 weeks from then that he actually got ill for the first time, we thought it was all done and dusted at that point, had no idea it could hang about for that long without causing any issues, but according to the vet it can; she said she took a rock out of the stomach of a dog and it had been there for almost 6 months before it started causing issues!

So he's gone from running miles and miles a day off lead to not being able to go off at all, its been almost 3 weeks now so he should be able to go for a run soon, but its been hell with a drivey energetic dog like him! He lives for his ball and his runs, and he's been a total nightmare being restricted like that, and is getting a bit on the 'square' side. Had tons of kongs and 'find it' games and training to try and tire him out but hes the kind of dog who needs a good run to really feel happy. I think I'll be more excited than him when he can finally get back to his proper exercise.
