Badge Commission for
dizfoley
I don't get enough bird commissions, I like birds, but they can be challenging. If I wasn't what I was I would be a Raven, Blue Jay, or a Macaw Fur. This one came out nice, though not as intended. The under-painting was painted a pretty turquoise which was supposed to shine through in places, but I got carried away with the Gouache, and lost most of it to the layers of paint. In spite of this it came out well, and that turquoise is very subtle, which it could have been over powering. Done in mixed media (Charcoal, Pastels, Colored Pencils, Graphite, and Gouache).

No, I have not done any nudes to date.
I work both in furry and the real world as a full time artist. The area in which I live in (America) has an exceedingly low level of cultural maturity. If I can not show it to the real world I would rather not draw it. As it is, I have received derision, and lost a few commission opportunities when it was found out I am a Fur (Which I do not hide). Regardless of the fact there is no fetish or sexual or even a nudes in my portfolio.
Personally, I have nothing against it, and I would be a hypocrite if I did. There are enough artist out there who are more then willing to nudes, I will let them pick up the slack for me *Grin*

Very understandable, if you ever change this policy I might line up for a piece.
My mother was an artist and student of art history, so I was raised from an early age to appreciate nudity in fine art. It's too bad there are cultural taboos. Maturity is a perfect way to describe the problem.
