What became of the 80's cartoon TMNT after the Turtles Forever movie? Did exposure to more serious worlds change them?

I posted this on DA awhile back and didn't think about posting it here too. Haven't been around on FA in a long time.

One day I sat down and just started typing and a little over 7 hours later I had it polished and posted at around 5am. I got an idea, started typing, and just couldn't stop. If you knew anything about how I write you'd know what a biblical miracle that was. Too much nitpicking and second guessing with the OC and the focusing problems kicking into hyper drive at the first sign of a distraction...
