This shows how long of a lack of improvement in my drawing.
The one on the left is from September 2002... 6 years ago... probably to this day.
The one to the right is from 2 months ago.
The character is Gala-Na. A little used character of the Archie series of Sonic the Hedgehog. I guess I changed her wardrobe some but it's still kind of the same. Oh well.

You may not see it but I DO see an improvement. The hair on the right seems more loose and fluid, not as stiff as the left. The body is more dynamic and exerts more sense of motion then the left. Also more detail in regards to value on the right, though I'm not too sure if you were just lazy to add shading to the left :)
Tell me, after 6 years, does it at least feel easier to draw? If so, then that in itself is an improvement :)

The problem is that the more I look around, the more I see that the illustrations that I do are so off from others, that I don't know what to do. I know that this isn't the most dynamic pose that I can do but I have started to ace the motion part... probably more than most... I don't know.
It's been easier to draw this way, but in places, especially DeviantART and in FurAffinity only a certain kind of style rules. It's a suggestion that "THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO" type of style. I don't think that anyone here or there will like my style in its pure form, which is mostly gesture and shape.
