She asks him in a whisper:
"Do you love life?"
"What?"
"You love life?"
"It has its moments."

They've met at the pier. At day tourists and other people come here to enjoy the salt-breeze and view over Goldenrod City, but at nighttime it get's silent and chilly.
A picture I made Fightingwolf for valentines day. Of course she got the original on paper, but allowed me to submit the digital copy on FurAffinity. It's my first painting utterly done with pigment ink since about eight years. I even had to buy new illustration paper first and brushes. (For animal protection I use for all my artworks only brushes made of synthetic hair or grasses.) Luckily my bottle of pigment ink was after so long time still not dryed up. Though in hindsight I would have done some of the paintings details different I still like it pretty much, but most important is that you, Fightingwolf, like how I depicted your character.
Since it's only done with ink I was able to use a scanner for the digitalisation. It turned out a little pixelated on the edges, because of the threshold value, but it's okay.
Done with pigment ink on 250g/m² illustration paper.

Thank you very much! That means a lot to me. I worked about 30 hours on this painting including the time I needed for the sketches. I always make several sketches on transparent paper before I transfer it on the final more expensive papers. This way I don't need to erase much on the final painting and avoid pencil marks left from erasing.
Thanks a lot! I love it too. You know, I once talked to a professional artist. He said one shouldn't paint what you like, but what you are good in. I totally disagree with him! I love comic noir and I will continue painting them. I will become better anyway, so why wasting my time painting in a technique or style I don't like, just because I would be better doing that? I hope you understand, what I want to say with my bad English.
