Spike's at it again! Eating Rarity's entire stock of gems. She'd ask him to leave...but there's the whole door issue. She'd offer him a place to sleep...but there's the whole furniture issue. The life of a fat dragon was never said to be easy, for everyone else anyway.
Enjoy some fat Spike. Just a quick sketch that I colored. Plus got to love a bit of belly hang after a nice, full meal. Enjoy!

Spike's already destroyed all her furniture at this size anyway. She doesn't have very many options. At first she'll be a bit hesitant, but as you said, that soft belly and she'll instantly be in heaven. With the extra folds, Sweetie Belle will still have her own little room to sleep when she comes over too! :D
The scales themselves are probably pretty firm, but when you take into account the soft belly under it, it probably creates a nice sleeping area. The top layer of scales keeps whoever is laying on him a nice top layer so they don't sink into his belly flab, but that flab beneath still providing excellent cushioning itself.
Thanks! And I completely agree. Spike makes for such an awesome fatty. I love drawing him.
And thanks for the compliment on the fat face. I've been really trying to improve how I draw the faces and specifically how things like fat cheeks and multiple chins would look on characters, cause that's one of my favorite parts of fat art. I'm trying to get some variety too so just having them shaped differently and interacting differently between each drawing.
And as you mentioned, nothing wrong with a bit of belly hang.
