Then talk to them. Some fire performers are aloof and tend try and hold on too the secrets, tricks and things they've learned over the years, others will be completely open and will enjoy teaching you stuff.
If you were even remotely local me and my group would hook you up.
I can already tell you best fuels, places to get pre-made tools/props/toys, things like that.

That's HOT. lawl </pun>.
Really though, it's beautiful. Massive props for fire dancing.
You said in a comment above that it's not fire poi. But man, most beautiful thing I ever saw was fire poi. I wish i could learn to fire dance like that, but i'd probably be too scared to do anything. I'm kinda okay with the the non-flaming variety of poi. =P Like, I don't kill myself or random passer-by. But I'd never be able to do it with fire. Too scary.

No but as big as Atlanta is I would bet money there is one.
if you try meetup.com you might be able to find something, it's no guarantee because even as a very massively used network I never here it mentioned really, outside of personal use. So I have no idea how many fire groups would be using it.
Tribe.net is also probably a good start, if I remember correctly it's a social networky thing for burningman types, and if you know anything about burningman you know it is basically the biggest thing a fire dancer can ever go to, so think about what you might find there eh?
So Those are at least the two resources I know of. I'd probably be in your position if I moved to atlanta (not exactly unlikely either), so good luck.
