Will be making them from Styrofoam, plasticoat and rubberised lycra unless i find/come across a better method.
I will be making from scratch, as although regular MX boots will provide a great structure to base them on, I want them to be light so it rules them out. Boxing Boots might be one solution but will raise the cost.
My initial thoughts are to make the shapes them cover it with plasticoat with the lycra bridging the joints that aren't intended to be seen.
Prototypes are being considered in the next few weeks, so keep an eye open for updates.
