L'Oiseau Blanc... I heard that it crashed near of Canada or of the coast of the Maine. There's few variations about its crash, one of them is that it was taken in a storm and tried to land but they failed because of the fog but there's an other which said that he would have been shot down by the American Coast Guard ship USS-Modoc and that, after been damaged (apparently at the radiator) Nungesser would have tried to land the seaplane but, here too, he failed because of the fog. It seems that a photo existed of the dead body of an aviator, dressed a like the both french pilots, who was found in Canada but it also seems that the carcass of the biplane would have been find by a fisher in the 60s off the coast of Maine but it would have been scrapped quickly after its discovered. Did my sources are true or not, that will still a mystery for a few times...
In all cases, the case of the Oiseau Blanc still a mystery and maybe that some people are not totally white in this case, but maybe that's just a stroke of bad luck for one of the best aces of the First World War...
