Meet Nax the Buttergi, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Red Spotted Purple butterfly hybrid. :D

This was the sculpture I created for EmilySculpts Skillshare class on creature sculpting. I had so much fun designing him and bringing him to life in sculpture form.

This sculpture is approximately 5" tall and 5.5" long. He was created using Super Sculpey, Sculpey Firm and Apoxie Sculpt over a wire and foil armature. He was painted with acrylic paints, and sealed with a matte finish. The eyes, nose and tongue are glazed for extra shine. Pearl-Ex pigments have been added to the wings to give them a lovely shimmer. The sculpture is mounted onto a wooden base with sculpted details and has been stained and glazed.
