The Heart of the Galaxy (also known as the Heart of Azeur) is a large nebula located in the central core of the Azure Wheel Galaxy.
I've been playing with fractals lately to help me create full images of nebulae rather than have small portions of them in my art.

Reminds me of a dream I had around december last year. In it was a being looking similar to this falling down to earth and submerging into the ground. I found it inside some catacombs, this weird mass of colorful bands of light and pulsating spheres of light and living, always changing shapes of light. In my dream it was supposed to be a monster and I had to destroy it. It was supported by three beams of light from some sort of generators across the room, I had to sever those links. After I did this it stopped changing colors and also its ability to change its shape slowed down. It also desaturated and turned into a colorless black and white thing, changing it's composition from bands of light to something more solid. It appeared as if it crystallized right before my eyes, I attacked it and it shattered partly, revealing a previously unseen and recently materialized, three chambered heart inside, slowly pulsating. I can't remember if I proceeded to attack its heart or not, but I remember feeling sorry for it. It appeared rather alien, but in no way malevolent. It appeared to be rather confused, frightened and seemingly lost. Then those generators sprung back to life, the beams of light again nourished the creature and it began to glow and move again. It turned into colorful light again and its shards attached itself to the creature again, also turning back into bands of colorful light. I honestly can't remember if I continued to fight it, but I'm quite certain I didn't really wanted to.
Seeing this image reminds me of that dream and about how sorry I felt. It's truely beautiful!
