First soviet high-speed electric train
ER200 (ЭР200)
built in Riga, in service since 1 March 1984 till 28 February 2009
28 cars in 3 trains were built.
These trains worked on Moscow - Saint-Petersburg line, and became akind of symbol of russian railways

In high-speed operations - Siemens ICE3 (called "Sapsan" in russia). In general - usual platzkart and compartment cars, old and newer design. ( I really dont like this corcorate RZD livery, i think oldone was more stylish.

But now, suburban trains are being cancelled, some regions completely lost local commuting. For some people trains were the only transport, cause some places have no roads. People now cant go to work, children cant go to school, and so on.

But i remember, that earlier it was possible to travel by only local suburban trains through whole country (west-east).
