Interesting point that the vixen speaking to the officers resembles the one that is gunned down with Beatrix in supposedly the next panel of the story. Talk about irony.

I believe Gene wanted to "introduce" the character earlier than the drive-by shooting, in case it wasn't clear, perhaps, that he was the intended target.

The intended target was a male? Interesting, since looking at the panel in the comic that shows the "Too cool to live" individual with Beatrix walking behind, looked more like a she with what appeared to be breasts. ^^; Guess I've had some unusual perceptions about that character, a pity that he ends up being killed, along with Beatrix.

I thought the "pimp" suite was a dead giveaway... excuse the word play. I'd have preferred a grand piano drop on the carload of "Guardian Angels" myself, but it wouldn't have fit the story.

Since the pages happen *in* the story, rather than before, I guess you'd have to call them an "inquel".

I think it's probably just as well this didn't go, since the landlord is revealing knowledge he couldn't possibly have, like who the intended target of the drive by was, I mean, unless he was involved somehow....
