I have done some driving but it did not go well in the long term. After the second accident, he got hurt both times, I could not get my horse within 20 feet of the training cart with out him causing problems even with him having blinders on. He knew when he was close to the cart even if there was no way for him to have seen it. I ended up just selling the cart and putting the driving harness in permanent storage.

not much anymore, I do ride here and there now.

ouch, well that sucks. I don't think we have ever had a horse afraid of a cart, but we have had accidents.

My real problem was I had to teach my self everything on my own. I knew no one at that time that knew anything about driving. If I had known a teacher might not of had the accidents and I might have also been able to keep driving because I could get help to get my horse in front of the cart again

My mom taught me all I know. Which isn't much, but enough in case I ever want to have my own.

and its too bad it ended that way. I wish you luck in case you ever decide to get into it ever again.

I would love to have Lord Frances to learn to drive but I just dont have any free time
