This was a mistake of mine. I hope you understand that I am not sorry for this. I will not take it down, but i will say that this is an old Idea. It shows a great example of Religious bigotry towards Atheism, and I created it...I want you to know that I don't think the same way anymore, but I do Believe in god. And i do believe in Christ. The bible is unfortunately the readers digest condensed version of true religion. there are so many things that make what it says not make sense because it's a collection of stories written over thousands of years. There are parts that are definitely metaphorical.
I read it because it has a lot of good values to base my life upon. the book of proverbs for example is a collection of general wisdom when properly analyzed.
Jesus said some good things too. when he was not contradicting himself. the funny thing is if you look real close you will notice that Jesus never once calls himself the Christ or the savior, that it is people around him that assume he is.
he's only asking that you believe...in something.
the reason i made that picture is because at the time I was looking at love in the wrong light.
Big churches who ask for your donations and build their big glass churches and have preachers with fancy suits and cars piss me off. I went to a church that is barely hanging on because of what they have done for not only the community, but for humanity in general. the church just recently took a huge blow as the head preacher was caught cheating on his wife. Messenger of god my ass. he was just a man, and we have to forgive him for making that mistake, as human beings tend to do, but my church did somehting i just cannot figure out. They brand him as an outcast and leave him in the dust.
Not like he molested a bunch of kids. it could have been worse, and if he were to ask forgiveness i wonder how many of us would forgive him? I would have. His wife should have according to the rules of the bible, but the hypocrisy of this church blows my mind.
so i no longer associate myself with that church. And I'm just trying to be a good person just like you. Don't blame all Christians for the human flaws of the many you have met. they are just scared and confused about life like many of us naturally are.
Your rant is well made and shows a great deal of intelligence in the matter. and that's all I'm saying for now. I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm not trying to give you my opinion. I'm just telling you what I got out of your rant on the faith I have chosen, but am only very loosely a part of it due to the high amount of corruption of the minds that follow it.

Your opinion is well worded, as well. And I can see that you respect my views. Just understand, this essay expresses my anger to the particular types of Christians mentioned, there is some good. But a lot of my reasoning, logic, and knowledge goes against the idea of there even being a divine creator. So while I can accept you as a good person, I can't bring myself to take creationists in a serious light; what you believe in is absurd.
I'm not trying to argue, either. While Atheists may be desolate, or gray, or whatever you may want to call it, Christians are foggy and diluted. Come away from Christian reputation for a moment and consider what a logical fallacy God is. Scientifically. I recommend you read The God Delusion, by Richard Dawkins. It's an eye opener, and if after you've read it you still believe in a God, I commend you.
I long for the day someone can take the wonderful lessons in the Bible as simple guidelines, and care because it's what is right, not because fear of a power mightier than thou.
