A lot of "villains" are only misunderstood, but at the end the means they use and the way they're acting determine what they are. For example, minister frollo was detrmine he did what was right in the eyes of god, though he was a dick. At the end he Loved Esmeralda which caused him to sin in his eyes, which was a different reason he acted horribly.
But Scar? Lol. As great as he is, He's most defenetly, a villain. He killed his brother and tried to kill his nephew cuz he was jealous of his brother. He was smart yet he made pride rock crumble becuz he was so selfish he didn't care.
P.S he bitchslapped sarafina XD

For a Lion, everything Scar did is predictable, and proper behavior. Adult males rarely integrate with their original pride. They either leave to form their own (often by killing the male of another pride) or they kill the male in their own pride and take it over.
When the movie was made Disney bragged about how close their animators got to real lions in order to study them. Scar's behavior is accurate, and not particularly villainous.
He only appears a villain in the context of human society where his actions would be considered unjust. But human society itself is a lie and the people who run our world all behave the same way that Scar does. They kill those in power and usurp it for themselves. It's been going on for thousands of years. Some call it villainous, some call it natural selection.
I'm just saying there's other perspectives. Mine is that Scar is a fantastic actor, a sexy beast, and serves a specific role within the confines of that film, but not necessarily is he a villain.

Wether human society is a lie, that's debatable in my opinion. Obviously it has it's flaws, but human nature desires to be with someone else, even if not being a part of something.
As for what is just and what is not, I disagree with your perspective. In my and many philosophers opinion every sane and intelligent being wouldn't want to hurt any other living being, other than for survival or serving the greater good. A real pride of lions would have cast him away, but this movie is fictional and it resembles a human society, Scar was clearly not in danger in the movie.
That leave us with the second choice, which is the greater good. Mufasa was portrayed as good and lovable king so that's false.
On the other hand in the second film, Zira's motives were of survival and so she was less of a villain, but more the main antagonist.
So to sum it up, I do not accept natural selection in an intelligent society, same goes with real people who kill and usurp only for their own selfish agendas. Do you accept this?
