Artemis is actually my second-oldest fursona. She was born to a survivalist cult isolated in the desert, her father being one of the founding members renown for his cruelty and her mother little more than his slave. When Artemis hatched her father tried to kill her because he wanted a son. Luckily her mother smuggled Artemis away in the middle of the night but could not go with her daughter. From there young Artemis would live with a band of mercenaries as a child soldier.
Today Artemis lives with her husband Verity Preensdale (her maiden name was Artemis Arrow) She 'works' as a pseudo-government of sorts, if you could equate it as that. Whenever the ASI needs an agent of a certain stripe and failure is not an option, she's the first to call.
