I must admit that I`m impress that you can make lively expressions with Eternal even without the pupil of the eyes. Sometimes eyes with no pupils usually represent anger in a lot of cases, in the few exceptions, like yours, can make more expressions with it. And I like it ^ ^

this technique I learned from Don Bluth´s movie NIMH while studieng Nicodemus facial expressions and also the great owl. Both have glowing eyes with no pupils, but a very lively expression on their faces and I was so impressed by that so I wanted to learn it as well.
I think the secret is that the watcher starts to look more on the other points in the face like eyebrows, mouth and stuff if the eyes have no pupils

Ahh that´s amazing man : D I must said that your practice really brought great results with your characters : ) and also, without pupils somehow we manage to guess right the direction where Eternal is looking at on the different side where the head is facing out.
I guess it would be odd to see Eternal`s eyes with pupils, don´t you think? XD Keep up with the incredible work man ^ ^
