This is Freya! She showed up on our doorstep on January 20th, 2015. We fed her and gave her water. Then she never left. We've made a corner of our garage her home (bed, blanket, toys, food and water dishes) and though she wanders around in the outside world, she seems to be calling our yard her own.

We checked in with our neighbors and no one claims her as their own or knows who she belongs to. So as far as we can tell, she's just a stray cat. But since we've pretty much claimed her, named her, we're taking care of her.

Part of taking care of Freya means taking her to the vet and getting her spayed and getting her rabies shots. My vet made a deal with me, that these procedures would cost only $100 instead of $300 if I brought her in.

I will be taking on commissions to cover this cost! :) Once Freya is taken care of, I will be doing the same for the other strays that wander through our yard.
