I realize I had a few progress pictures for the commission im currently working on lying around, so I put this together for the commissioner to see. Thought id share it publicly too.
This is WIP toward a higher quality commission. Not finished yet though.
I also don't have a set system when it comes to painting things like this. I am very untrained when it comes to art because I am working toward a bachelors of science, not arts. I get techniques and steps all mixed up and I find it difficult to figure out what I should do to progress. In the end I just hope things turn out okay.
(I probably wont survive an art course either after all the nightmarish things i have heard about their workload)

I find that the sciences (where I study anyway) has very low workload, but a lot of studying and memorizing.
I think last year I only had to write up three or four scientific papers for the whole year. They were on topics that I really enjoyed too.
I am a really lazy person, even with art. xD It takes me some effort to mentally prepare myself to pick up my pen and draw. Once I am deep into the art zone though, it becomes much easier, taken away by the current.
Also I am really happy that you like how it is turning out. Makes me really happy to hear.

I am personally unable to take in infinite amounts of information to throw it back on papers a few times per semester haha. I am very lazy too, but I think being lazy is a hindrance no matter your field of study x3
