This costume wins the prize for weirdest thing I've ever made. (And it's got some contenders there, I've made some pretty weird stuff, but this takes the cake.)

It's basically a giant fur suit. Not a fursuit, but a suit made from fur. The body is wide enough to put three or four of me in, and although the "waist" where the grey fur joins the brown hangs around my knees here, the legs are actually a full yard long. You could fit one of me in each of them, I think. There are feet under there somewhere, much like the hands. The arms are also close to a yard long, and nearly a yard wide as well. It also features a very large hollow tail. You could fit another one of me in the tail alone, and that's where the hidden zipper is, you crawl into it from behind.

The whole thing is lined with that super-expensive and soft Tissavel fur, so it's really an experience wearing it. There are nearly 20 yards of fabric overall in it, and it weighs roughly thirty pounds. It was a TON of work, but honestly I love the thing. It is pretty darn awesome.
