As of this writing, it's been a month ago since I lost Charlie. (She can be seen in this video, recorded shortly before the vet trip. http://youtu.be/DQGR1z75Z6E )

She was a Los Angeles rescue by my grandmother from a stray's litter. Nabbed a day after birth, so she never could go feral. Just something from day one...no, minute one that revealed she just loved me. Period.

She had suffered from multiple health issues over the years. I thought it might have been the massive bulge on her shoulder about the size of a golf ball. But, the vet pronounced kidney failure. Suspect: Probably the well water, as we also lost two other cats within weeks/hours from the same thing. All were rescues from various places. Had I been filling the water bowl, it would have all come from bottled and not underground from unknown sources.
