Dazior grew up in a tropical village as the son of a blacksmith. His father was rather insistent on him becoming a blacksmith like him, and as Dazior grew up he became the man's apprentice. Things changed however when, on a voyage to deliver some products, the ship that they were using to cross the ocean was assailed by pirates.
The thing that changed Dazior's life was a great surge of water pulling the pirate ship away and threatening to turn it on its side. A shadow slid under the water's surface before another wave hit the ship and smashed its hull. Interested in the creature it could be, Dazior began studying the rumours surrounding the route they'd taken and came across tales of an ancient spirit that protected the waters.
With his interest piqued, Dazior wanted to contact the spirit, to thank it for quite possibly saving his life. His father didn't approve, insisting on Dazior becoming a simple blacksmith like him, but the young man chose his own path and, on another delivery voyage, decided to stay in the city, rather than return home.
After a few years of studying, he managed to get a sufficient understanding of spirits and their workings, and one day he managed to arrange an encounter with the spirit safeguarding the ocean: Lacaopeleps. The spirit was kind and taught Dazior quite a bit about the workings of spirits, even going so far as to become Dazior's first contracted spirit. The two now share a strong bond, and Lacaopeleps is a mighty ally to the young man.
With Lacaopeleps' help, Dazior learned to see the world through a spirit's eyes, and came to understand the latent energy in the world. Ley lines, magic circles, inscriptions, scrolls, bartering with spirits... And understanding the many magical creatures the world had to offer.
He became so talented that he was eventually recruited by the Ymir Alliance, an inter-worldly organisation that strives to fight the various incarnations of evil.
That, in a nutshell, is the story of Dazior. Resident demonologist, ritualist and summoner for the alliance.
