I've been doing a poor job practicing 3d graphics, have I? I've sat on a tutorial to make a 3d model of Bender from Futurama, a task which surprisingly seems common among beginners in 3d (likely due to the simplicity of it). For the first time I was rigging a 3d model and doing stuff with it, but in the end, things got really messy, attempts to properly animate it failed utterly, and I decided that I should just give up.
Or rather... just publish it. I could maybe tweak the model a bit, still get something out of it, but unquestionably the best solution, would be to just start all over again, and not make the mistakes I did before, however that would again take a long time, which I don't have, so... off with it!
I will at least admit that Bender certainly looks more polished than Raphael. Sure, this is simpler, but even so, I feel like it's less flawed.

Well, I imagine having a "return to basics" with 3d soon, because I really forget stuff, and clearly I don't have what it takes for real characters yet....
