A little dream of summer. For those who love summer and who currently feel wrapped up in the gloominess of winter, who can't wait to bask in sunlight and warmth, here is a little picture of a shared dream for you. We know it will come true soon. :)
A quick doodle for which I used photo reference of a cute forest clearing.
Inbetween the hard, long and amazing work of my graphic novel, "Myre", I sometimes find time for smaller and quicker little doodles which I can share with you. I've been quite inactive on social media as well as in my galleries, but I do all my best to keep you informed and happy during my work on Myre. In the future soon, I will reveal more concepts and some pages to look at (of course, all free of spoilers! ;D).
Thank you so much for all the support and comments. Even though I seem inactive, I'm still around, painting every day like crazy, for that there will be tons of more art to share with you. :)

The whole thing is amazing but that lighting. I feel like you have improved with it. Just an observation. =). It looks so beautiful with your creation and scenery. I agree with comments saying in some views it looks like a photograph. You captured the soul of the forest perfectly in my eyes.
I pretty much did the same, only that my forests back then were located in South Germany. :) I would really like to explore more landscapes and forests in the US. Some places just seem otherworldly and beguiling to stay. The haze in the background might have been just another glimpse of intuition. :)
It's been so long since I've been able to really set back and look through your gallery again, and you've just gotten so legendary with your digital art skills, it's just amazing. I still remember years ago when you did mostly or more colored pencil art and painting and I managed to purchase one of this one water wolf while your prices were sill within in my budget back then. Even though your stuff will always be priceless to me.
Sorry to say I've had a few beers and I've just been a little overwhelmed with nostalgia recently. And, I'm just really so amazed and proud of how much you've grown as an artist. I hope to one day be half the artist you are, especially if I plan to do it as a career now in my life. Thanks for all your contributes and creativity and the everlasting well of inspiration. I wish you the best of luck on all your future endeavors. <3

Incredible piece! It's been sitting in my browser's favourites for a while, but I somehow never managed to log in and actually fav it...well.. DONE. The detail is outstanding and especially the lighting and shading work done on this piece is top notch. I can't get over how beautiful that looks
