Wow, nice. This really does look great. If you can lighten the fur to make it more white that would be great. His birthday was last night so this would be a good way to get over the hangover he's more than likely got right now (asuming he's awake)

so, make the grey areas more light? I should add that the paper is unbleached and has a yellowish taint. I can also change/adjust the fur markings a bit. I just hope the shadings scan well, then.

Well eitherway it's great as it is. My original request was just for a sketch so I could work on it, but iit really means a lot you went that extra bit :)

it was one of those occasions where you go the whole way even though less was requested, because it looked right. I wouldn't have felt well having it laying around unfinished.

just curious, how well do the details fit? beard, colours of the clothes, pose/expression? when I started I found out your description lacked a couple details, like the leg form, for example. not that I mind much, but it is a mistake-trap for sure. :)

I normally like to be a little brief because I'm more fond of someones own interpritation than trying to keep to set specifications.

I like that, too. but, missing details which might turn out to be important can lead to guess what? right, drama.

Well I had another friend print it off on photopaper and brought it to me yesterday. The friend in question it was for though wasn't able to collect it (he needed a taxi to get home). But I've got someone giving it to him and I should find out soon.
I'll be sure to tell you what I hear in responce :D

from the description the character's owner is also someone very interesting. :)

I will have to join in and say that I too like those big paws. I tend to think some furry artists mimimize the animal characteristics of their characters a bit too much and so present their characters as humans merely dressed up in masks and wearing a tail.

This pic is very interesting because of the character's interesting head tilt and those lovely large foot paws.

which is quite a task with short-nosed anime cat girls, but then there are other means to accomplish that goal. *trows a threadball into the air*

thank you. :) I had lots of freedom with him... I like more animal-shaped heads, although on occasion a short-faced individual can look good, too.
curiously enough the frame tilted with him leaning in... and I thought I had the angles straight. :P

Ok, I finally got a chance to see him since he got it. He thought it was absolutly Awesome. Infact this has gotten his friends interested in getting similiar things done for their wolf pack (of which the one this drawing was for was part of). So they'll probably be around the site now because of it ^_^

ha, good to hear that. the fact that I normally draw for me alone doesn't mean I wouldn't care if I make everybody else's day with it, too. :) so if they want something done and like my art style, I wouldn't mind if you pointed them my way. :)
