So I finished a previous WIP, for once in my life. I definitely owe it to myself, and all you guys that follow me.
Right now, slow-paced, cutesy, great-to-dance-to-when-nobody-is-looking music is what I've been writing. A lot of it comes a backlash against that whole "dude you need to write music the right way"-type thinking, a lot of it comes from somewhere that's inside that's important (hard to describe). It's definitely not polished but I hope it sounds honest.

Sounds like a haven of some sorts; something similar to finding an oasis after traveling a large desert for hours on end. But also gives a sense of nostalgia and safety like finding a treasured childhood toy, or after many years away visiting a room you grew up in as a child to find it's exactly the same as remembered. That's what I got out it anyway. :)
