Okay, so you know how sometime you get a wild hair, and it turns into a full blown project? Well, see...here's the deal. I've been putting together an Amiga Video Toaster system together for years now, because I wanna do awesome 'classic' UHF quality videos and effects...just for laughs. Now that I have a working system, which includes a pimped out Amiga with a VT4000 card, and I'm using two Raspberry Pi computers as the "playback decks" (as they're great for playing back composite video from files), and I'm gonna do a parody commercial for "Brynn's Sass Station," an old gas station that's been taken over and now pimps out your ride 80's awesome style with a mix of futurepast. But I thought...shit, I need to have an awesome 80's song that's used in the background. So yeah, instead of working on "real" music, or instead of even posting that little Orbital-like ditty I'm just about done with in Ableton Live, here I am spending an evening working up the sounds of the 80's and writing a whole goddamn song -- just to use in the background of a parody commercial. I wanted it to be like "Eye of the Tiger", "The Touch", "Push It To The Limit." I actually learned what the drum machine was that lots of famous 80's songs (like those played on Flashback FM in Grand Theft Auto III...I mean, ALL those songs on that station had the same exact drum machine), and it's called a Linndrum Linn LM-2. I had to find the samples of it online and add them into my Reason set as Korg drum set as I didn't wanna pay for them, and then add some slap bass and chugging guitar, and here's what I got after a couple hours of work. The synth lead in there will be used in the song, but right now it's just playing the theme of the words so that you can get an idea. I...I'm kinda worried I don't have a good five-pack-a-day voice to do a screaming epic 80's lead singer big hair sounding deal, but I'm gonna try, I guess. Maybe I'll just go over the top bad with it, that kinda is the point. :)

Anyway, I actually worked up the lyrics to the song a few days ago, and here are all the lyrics. Again, on the chorus is looped in this demo I'm posting, it's gonna take lots more sessions before I get a whole song down.
