"Many years later, when the opportunity presented itself, the Istaar again lead a liberation force into the Polkari homeland of Taheh. With the help of the Matordai, the liberation forces made easy work of the Kimku defenses, and the Kimku were forced to retreat back to the imperial capital of Eradil. Now, with Taheh free of all oppressors, the Polkari, proud and determined, struggle against great odds to create a society to call their own. This time, however, they'll accept the helping hand of the Istaar. And, eventually, they will create great cities, a thriving economy, and a powerful culture that reflects both the beauty of their savior's, the Istaar, and their personal will to never wear the bonds of slavery upon their wrists ever again."
Design concept for the lion-esque race, the Polkari, from my fantasy universe. Images are culturally heavily Japanese based. Some Korean conceptual ideas thrown in there as well. All original designs.
Hope you enjoy.

Oh I intend to. The Kimku of Eradil are a mixture of Roman and *some* asian themes. Their cousins to the south, however, are a bit more dark ages European with a hint of colonial American tossed in for flavor. The Istaar are, for the most part, the elves of this world and I base much of their work off Tolkien-esque elvish artwork with asian themed tendencies. The Ayanod are a bit Meso. American with a sprinkling of Babylonian. Matordai, I would say, are Viking-esque in nature and culture (big wooden houses, lots of skinned garments, but not so big on killing for power though). And so on and so forth...
You can see a fair portion of some of these things in my gallery. There's a decent amount of images here that pertain to this story, if you're curious.
