This was my most expensive purchase of the con: A watercolor picture ($100 starting price) with two extra characters (+$20/extra character) by
hbruton.
In the center is my primary fursona, a chubby C. lupus fuscus / C. lupus cascadensis. (waves) (Those are the Latin names for the species: Brown wolf/Cascades Wolf.)
To the left is my character in the story universe of Tails from the Blind Pig. That one story eventually became a shared universe setting for the Transformation Story Archive. (C. lupus, American Timber Wolf. He was created before I figured out there were such things as brown wolves.) He's rather an older version of me as an actor, as that's a near-future setting.
To the right is the court bard of Metamor Keep, a fantasy story universe so well-loved that it split from the archive to form its own website. If you're looking closely, you'll notice he has no thumbs -- this is an effect of the Curse of Metamor Keep, and makes it very difficult to play the lute. (Good thing classic lute playing is one string at a time...) (C. lupus lupus, the European Gray Wolf. It was a classic fantasy setting, so I went with the European equivalent. Besides, he shares my tendencies to be a Lovell -- that means "young wolf", and is a classical term for a hothead.)
Extra points to
hbruton for actually looking up the relevant species!
