This was one of the happier little moments of my convention. My main character, Corbeau, is a south american breed, so one of the four sketchbooks I'm working with (I think I want a fifth for "awkward sex" adult stuff) is themed Mexico/South America/Mesoamerica. It's hard to fill, the referents are just a touch obscure.

Anyway, I handed my sketchbook to Esteban, a guy with a lab coat and a very pretty deer in a loincloth on his table, and said "this one's themed South American," and he said "Oh, great, I just got off an archeological sabbatical studying mezoamerican art and design! I'd love to!"

So, strange little happy happenstance!
