For ten years, Walt Disney World had a choir and orchestra made up of volunteer cast members who would rehearse and perform a huge concert each summer to raise money for charity. I had the privilege of singing one of my favourite Barry Manilow hits, "I Write The Songs", in the 2009 concert "Revolution (A Musical Flashback To the 60s and 70s)". Standing in front of thousands of people in the World Showplace Theatre every night, backed by a 200+ voice choir and a 100-piece orchestra, was probably the closest I'll ever get to skydiving. It's a surreal, free-fall experience and it left me emotionally shaken (in an astoundingly good way) every night.
I hadn't thought of this in a while, but performing again at Texas Furry Fiesta brought back the memories, and while I hope that video from TFF2015 will eventually surface, I thought I'd post this in the meanwhile.

I was a part-time Dapper Dan (barbershop quartet on Main Street) back then - I didn't get to meet many people outside my show cast. (Now I'm at Hoop and the Rose & Crown Pub, and I don't even know everyone who works in those venues.) And out of the 200-voice choir, I got to know less than half. It's that massive. :)

I have wasted every moment at a con where you were performing and I was not there to hear it. Must figure out a way to game in moderation, so I can make time for stuff.
