I've started picking up composing again, working on it every day (even if it's just for a few minutes). Just to give you guys a glimpse at what I'm currently working on, I figured I'd upload this. I really dislike how muddy the SoundFonts library is for low brass in Finale, but until I get some better hardware so I can get a decent DAW and sample library, this is what I have to work with for the time being.
I have no idea yet what to title this, so I'm currently open to suggestions.

Something about this has a sound that seems to take a few cues from Disney. Just something about it makes me think I'm about to hear it come to a gradual ritardando leading into a briefly-held softer portion that allows a singer to enter. Also, there seems to have kind of an air of magic and fantasy to it, which could be where I'm getting Disney from. I'm curious to see where you decide to go with this, Malcolm; it's a beautiful piece so far.

I'm planning on getting myself really back on track with being focused on music this year, so I'm hoping to get my hands on some decent hardware and software to improve the quality of sounds I can produce. I've let my skill set atrophy for too long now.
