Anyway, if you thought that you were going insane when you saw two comic pages in 2 weeks, I'd love to see the look on your faces now. Prepare to be suckered by Fred!
I did have to rush a few elements on this page, and you might be able to tell by some of the muddled perspective on panel 1, but the color really came through for me this time. I'm pretty pleased

Outstanding (as usual). The lolli has gotten a great deal of note. I'll just say I cracked up when I saw it wasn't a slim cig in his mouth.
And that mouth! Fred clearly is not used to negotiating with people of fine and fragile sensibilities...
Then again, he's presumably being hired as a hardass, not a soft touch, so who knows? Perhaps that attitude gets higher wages more often.

It's not so much that he's negotiating as responding to a ludicrous set of demands... of course, there will be more details on that on the next page. I'm actually sneakily satisfied that people are noticing the lollipop, even though it's a pretty small part of the page. It's a part of Fred's habits that I wanted to get across clearly and it seems that it's suddenly become a key landmark to his character.
Well, so far the other key character factors aren't terribly uncommon. Drunk. Cocky. Shoots things. Acts calm and collected while all hell is breaking loose.
Tch. Those kinds of characters are a dime a dozen in most writers' settings!

The fact that Mr. Savage is a dingo makes me like this strip more than i did when i saw the cover and first page. And yes, i spotted the naked lady.
And 1981? *whistles* That's 9 years before the Jewel Vixens' time (and 3 years before by birth). You love going back in time, don't you? That's one reason i like your art.
