B-Because the mice are the cutest D8
Awe, I know if you're anything like me you never stop missing them! I originally had three sisters, but one got sick and even though she went through several vet visits and two rounds of antibiotics the pneumonia from her respiratory infection had taken it's toll :< But I'm happy that she's not suffering anymore! Still miss that little brown mouse like crazy though.

Mine was eaten by my cat. Hop on the feels train!
His name was Caesar. He was used in psychological+intelligence experiments n a lab and when they didn't want him anymore, my boyfriend and I adopted him. He was very smart (wow lab did a great job? XD) and was used to being handled around so we took him everywhere. I used to take him to the little park we have in my neighborhood, kinda "for a walk"; all the things there were amazing for him and that's what I remember the most, how he enjoyed hiding in the tall grass and ;v;)b (couldn't release him n my garden because of my cat lol)
I took care of him and was VERY careful not to leave my door open so cat wouldn't eat him but before I moved my mom left the door open ;n; and well...
Cat nommed mouse that couldn't escape from his big box (we had built a box with cardboard and it had a lot of fun games and hiding places and hills and tunnels and ropes and stuff for Caesar to play!,,, but cat was patient and waited for mouse to come out of beneath... Maybe Caesar thought it was us? he used to come out and raise his paws for us to take him out of the box ;v;)
Then a bit later mom called me and said they couldn't find Caesar and that the door was open... I went back home as quickly as I could, cat nowhere to be seen, he knew! X3X... A bit later I found it. Cat had puked mouse hair (and nuts eaten.. because cats can't digest that X'D) and it was sad to clean that up *tear*,
the end (of Caesar.)
His colors were also kinda brownish, but he was more like this:

Oh no I'm sorry you aren't with them :< I've only lost one out of the four I've owned so far and that had me really down. I still miss her a lot but she passed because of pneumonia so I know even with the meds and vet visits- she was losing weight and suffering, so I tried to be less selfish and just be happy that she wasn't in pain anymore after she passed.

Had mine years ago, when stuck living at home. Dad hated their smell (he is sensitive to any scent) so I had to keep them upstairs in the attic room, but a heatwave came, and I kept giving them ice bottles and a fan, and my friend who co-owned some of the mice bred my male and fave female..and she had 12 babies her first time. All the babies survived..but she didn't make it in the heat and nursing them. She was a beautiful brindle color, named Suicune, would ride on my shoulder and give me kisses as I did house chores. None of her kids were too nice in temperaments, but they were a cream/champagne brindle that Id never seen. I gave them away best I could. Don't know WHY that friend had to breed the mice. Guess she liked the long hair of my male Angus? Awesome mouse, really active, got him with a twisted malformed back foot, but he could still climb and hang awesomely. Our family dog somehow got to him, He was kept out of the way though, up higher, maybe someone moved him I dont know..but I had the very bad experience of thinking he was gone.. and sweeping up the bedding that was strewn about and the broken cage.. ._. and I found him.. in pieces. Couldn't handle that. These were as much a pet as a bird or cat, even a dog (but less hugable). Our other girls lived fine, Nacho did catch a cough and eventually died soon after but she was really old by then. They all kinda passed away from old age. I'd hunt for the prettiest pet store mice. Satin silver one, a platinum color with a beige belly, pretty black one, (the two golden twins were Suicunes girls, gave them to my lil sis, they did fine) and so on.
I really want to have mice again. Maybe just 3, girls, in a home that doesn't have dangers in it. And let them live to be nice and old.
