She is a female kitsune fox, not a hybrid fox/peacock. She just happens to have the colouration of a peacock :)

<33 Yess, it's a very subtle use of the inspiration that's clear, but not..slapping in the face and losing your own style for it? (Says the person who does flat-out Okami-style-not-her-own traditional ink drawings sometimes rofl)
