ears are in the continuity of the muzzle, that is behind her head. The root of ears should be bellow the average line initiated by the white fur. I implies the head to be globally longer that it currently is (not always true, but at least in this drawing, it doesn't make it). Also the original style is a clever balance of angle and curves than one can't find here (too much curves). And there is still too much strokes while the original style is kind of minimalist and aims to put a third dimension in a flat character design by adjusting the location of key body parts: eyes, ears, clothes. What's not absolutely necessary is removed on purpose.
I appreciate your words--- truly! But it was one of those things where I started to reminisce a lot, and said more than I had intended to.. haha! I am glad you think so, though! I wouldn't worry too much about nailing down the exact drawing style-- the character is definitely distinguishable, and given your sleeker lines and more animated style, it's a vast improvement vs the original Thea Stilton designs, and I think that's a really good way to draw in an audience whom seeks higher quality art.
Is that weird to say when it comes to purely the adult R34 works? It's wonderful in every conceivable way.
