Hailing from the eastern Australia, the Australian Brush-Turkey has little relation to the American Turkey. They are a traditional part of the diet of the aboriginals of the country, with their eggs eaten as well due to their size (6.3 oz). They are considered a pest to modern dwellings, as they have a tendency to damage crops and gardens in their search for food. They create great mounds for their eggs, nests being communal amongst several females and one dominant male.
