For Madmen-Asylum The Longest Night, this is my inspiration work for the contest. I used my OC humanized Vil'ka

) because when she was still a princess in her clan the 'Fire crowned Princess' (because of her red hair and her short temper) she liked playing with fire. Maybe one day I'll draw her doing her fire tricks. :)

Fire has fascinated mankind since we first discovered its power. Pyromania is an impulse disorder which drives affected individuals to deliberately start fires. This is distinct from arson because the fires were not started for financial, personal or political gains. First recognized as a distinctive mental disease in the early 1800’s, the pyromaniac derives pleasure and euphoria from starting fires and watching it burn, and suffers from withdrawal symptoms if he is prevented from starting fires. They are often hospitalized due to accidental, but self-inflicted burns.
Notable example: Elizabeth Sedgewick, who was burned at the stake in 1787, may be one of the earliest convicted multiple fire-setter who was punished for her crimes. Her motives were stated as being an “irresistible compulsion”.
I suck drawing fire so I used a free wallpaper found on Internet and then improvised. I wanted an effect similar to 'Hellfire' song in the cartoon 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' (one of my most favorite scenes of the movie).
The 'spell' on the right is a quote from the movie 'Dark Shadows' from Angelique Bouchard.
I'm all proud of how this work came out, but I'm sure I'll see all the terrible flaws in a few hours after I posted it and two days later I will be eager to forget this experiment. :XD:
I don't own the wallpaper, I don't own Dark Shadows characters or their spells, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, I own just my OC Vil'ka.
