Nope. Fury Looks slightly different and also has a Muzzlebreak. Would say ist an M4A3 (76) though the gun Looks like its from the M4A1 (76)
Fury is an M4A3E8, or simply called Easy Eight.

Need to remember that stuff so i know where the ammoracks are :P

Hehe. I knew that from a special about the movie on AHC: Fury had the later high velocity gun that made it a better match against the Tiger Tanks: the shells were twice as long as the ones used in the older guns.

Uh, Thats the propellant i think you see there. The 76mm Shell isn't much bigger than the 75mm. Maybe it is even smaller because of a reduced HE load. If you see a Shell getting loaded, only the very tip of it is the actual projectile getting fired, usually black as it seems. Everything below that is just the explosive to toss it out of the gun :P

Also note, the longer the gun-barrel, The better Penetration it gets, but the more " armor " the projectile Needs to survive the blast and thus reducing the effectivness of the HE Shells. As far as i know, there were quite a few Sherman Crews that didn't want the 76mm because the 75mm was just so much better at dealing with Infantry.

Which would mean Tiger II and Panther might have been especially vulnerable to Infantry.
