Most metals that would stand up to turbine use would not have paint sticking to it for long, and if you did it would have to be etching paint which would probably destroy the glow medium (as well as mostly likely being opaque so light and glow would not be let through. I know most high temp paints are opaque and most need to be baked on). Also, most turbine wheels are enclosed so having glowing blades would be moot. What would you want glow turbine blades for anyway?
