Evacuate the Dance Floor by NightlySnow
Ender, the black foxcoon, ran down the street, she was running so late. Her gray hind-paws, with purple and black stripes, pounded on the cement as she got closer to the building. With each step she drew closer, the louder the booming bass could be heard from the building. It was rave night, her favorite night. Her long fluffy gray tail with black stripes and purple highlights wagged with happiness.
The yellow reflectors on her baggy pants shined in all directions under the street lamps. Her yellow tang top matched the yellow reflectors of her pants, also shinning in all directions. A smile grew on her muzzle as she saw the entrance in view, the bouncer looking at Ids before allowing eager dancers in. She ran to the back of the line, fishing out her identification.
The bouncer, a white racoon with red spots, took a quick glance before nodding and opening the door for her. The black foxcoon pumped her fist into the air with excitement as she took her first steps in, the cool of the AC greeting her and the loud thumping of the bass shaking the floor. The club was featuring one of her favorite artist, Cascade. Her tag wagged and she heard the crowd to cheer as the DJ lowered the pre-music and the main artist hit the stage. She had gotten there just in time.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Cascade to the stage!” Ender let out a cheer as the announcer voice boomed. The foxcoon ran to the middle dance floor, her paws digging into her deep pockets. She pulled out multiple glow sticks. Some she tied around her neck, the other two were attracted to long strings that she held in her paws.
Ender shock with happiness and nerves. She normally danced alone in her room, with no audience. But, she knew it was fate that she came to the club tonight, to dance to her favorite songs. She practiced her routines for each songs to perfection and now was the time to show case them. She gulped in anticipation as she waited for the first song.
The synth sounded, hitting on the first beat and skipping a half beat before sounding again. She cheered loud as well as the rest of the club. The foxcoon recognized the song right away. It was her favorite one, Evacuate the Dance Floor. She started to swing her glow sticks, her feet moving to the beat. She went into another world as she started her routine. The world went dimmed around her, and it was just her dancing and listening to the song.
As the song continued, the crowd cleared the floor, cheering on the band and a lone rave dancer. Ender was so engulfed in the song, she didn't notice she had became the star dancer at this famous dance club. She swung the glow sticks with grace, while throwing in break dancing moves in between. Each move was preformed brilliantly, preformed perfectly within beat. To a stranger, Ender could have been one of Cascade's dancers in her music video.
As the song came to an end, the world reappeared to Ender. As she tried to catch her breath, she noticed she was the only one on the dance floor, the crowd looking at her and cheering. Comments like 'Way to go girl' and 'Evacuate the dance floor, the foxcoon is here!'. Ender blush as she noticed, her eyes darting around the club. Her gaze went to the stage as her idle was also clapping to her performance.
“Come on stage dear” Cascade called over the mic, holding the performance of the next song. “I want to see your moves up close and personal.” She slowly walked to the stage, standing near her favorite artist. “Let's see what you can do!” Cascade nodded to the DJ, starting the next song.
