Madmen-Asylum longest night- 6 Agoraphobia
My OC Julie had many problems when she was younger, she had been bullied for years so she grew very serious and shy. So she was perfect for Madmen-Asylum group's monthly challenge.
Six O’clock: Agoraphobia
The fear of open spaces shares a symbiotic relationship with panic attacks, which is a form of anxiety disorder. It was once believed that those who suffer the fear of open spaces would go into uncontrolled panic attacks when forced out of hiding. However, recent studies suggest that the fear of open spaces may be a learned response from the fact that being out in public is a trigger for severe panic attacks. Either way, the fear of open spaces is an irrational fear that seems to be gaining in prevalence over the last few years. Approximately 3.2 million people in the US is said to suffer from some kind of agoraphobia.
Notable example: Howard Hughes, the American aviator, industrialist, film producer and philanthropist had become an agoraphobic recluse in his later years. He was also the central character of the movie “The Aviator” which chronicled his life.
