My huband asked that I start writing some "how the artist does things" kind of posts. He's the one that takes care of the Seward Street Studios FB page and he wants to use them over there. I figured I might as well post them here too.

Anyhoo, here is a brand new design, fresh-made last night. I doodled the illustration on Wed night, just beore going to sleep. I took a photo of it with my phone, which automagically uploads it to my Google account. Honestly, I haven't used a scanner in years, phone pics are plenty good enough for what I do. I then drop the photo into Illustrator and trace it. Once traced, I fiddle with it until it looks right. That's pretty much it.

My notes from the last several conventions mention repeated requests for non-eagle bird decals, so this is one of them. I hope to have a bunch of new bird designs for Anthrocon.
