(because of my English)... you mean the diode which is near the engine ? is a diode which eliminates parasites voltage spikes that can be created by the NE 555... this system can cut power in an instant, and with the help of a potentiometer, we can adjust the engine power through an analog throttle. this system helps save time and components in the circuit... the printed circuit (blue) is regulated by the regulator 10 Volts (brown)... LEDs are used for the lights, it is a consumption of 10 W instead of 30 W to an incandescent lamp... 4 battery 12 V is used in series to 48 V (more than enough for the engine)... and finally, we use a voltmeter for battery charging and an ammeter for the comsomation directly...

and what diods will oyu use for dejam the motor? and its alwas good to place a capacitor with some µF and a z-diode with 15V on the source VCC and ground of the NE555 so it will be save against voltage peaks if the diode beside the engine is not fast enough.
and dont worry, my englsih still have to improve too^^
