Similar: i saw this posted by some friends on a group i'm in. Not posted by a fur, and i'm pretty much the only prominent fur in the group. Had no idea at first, and now i realize it, i'm piqued about how they ran across it.
Shocked, but at least now i know when raving over the artist, that i was right: already watched, without realizing it!

He was my favorite when I watched the series, so many years ago. He fleshed out a character who was far more than Gene Roddenberry could have imagined. He went on to many other roles, but he will always remain Spock. A fine tribute to a fine actor and a fine man. Live long and prosper. You will be missed.
Your artwork is a fine tribute, perhaps one of your best pieces.

It makes me so happy to see the same sentiment everywhere I look: Leonard Nimoy will be mourned, but he will never be forgotten. Truly, to have touched the hearts of so many, he did live long and prosper. _V
(that last bit is my best attempt to make an emoticon of the Vulcan salute :B)

Any ordinary praise is simply unsuitable for such a magnificent, heart-shaking piece of artwork as this.
It was bad enough when I was at Pensacon this weekend and caught the news, and even more so when I saw what an impact it had on Nichelle Nichols at the convention, as well as the fans... Seeing this drawing brought me to tears.
He was a phenomenal man, who did many a great thing in this world, including playing the role of one of the most iconic science fiction characters of all time. For certain, he will be missed. You've done a wonderful thing here...

I first heard about this while talking to a bartender at a bar I'd frequent while visiting my friend out of town, and, even though I'm not exactly a Trek fan, I was in total disbelief. Right when my buddy and I were walking out of the bar, I looked this up on my phone and found that it was true. Rest in peace, my friend. May you find your place within the endless algorithm that is existence itself.
Shortly after his passing, one scene kept repeating in my mind.
From Star Trek VI when Valeris and Spock were looking at a painting. It depicted Adam and Eve being expelled from paradise.
When Valeris asked "Why do you keep it in your quarters?"
Spock replied "To be a reminder that all things end"
Even in death, Nimoy is teaching us something about life.

This is a truly awesome and inspirational piece.
Leonard Nemoy, He was: a actor, a screenwriter, a director, a poet, a photographer, a author. Truly a man of all season who has left a very subtle and indelible mark on all he worked on and those he touched. And, like all things unique there shall not be another like him again.
As it has been since the beginning, as it is today and all tomorrows, be at rest and peace Spock.
