I decided to upload my best creation from my classes so far, which took about 15 hours or so to make. I was able to use the all holy Photoshop CS6 to create this, which is a pretty penny more expensive than my usual paint.net escapades. I used this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14886110/ picture as something to trace and start on, since it was one of my few socially acceptable drawings, and wasn't already shaded.
It was a new fun challenge to create art digitally, and I can see why it's become a common trend. What I found is that it's much harder to start on, with the line drawing and trying to keep my hand steady. However it gets easier as you go since you can just use the paint bucket to color it in, and add shadows with nothing more than a flick of the wrist. Which is the exact opposite of normal traditional pencil drawing; which starts easy with lines and shading, then gets extremely hard when it comes to color. Colored pencils, pastels, paints, inks... so many ways to add it, but none of them seem worth it when it with all the risk of ruining your work, and since it can all be done with nothing more than a mouse and a computer program. Not to mention no messes or smearing to worry about.
