I suppose there's some resemblance, yep. "Kitty" is missing one of her arms, too. She lost her eye after witnessing some violent street crime (they tried to blind her completely, but she escaped halfway through). A guy who was tripping on acid and PCP attacked her with a wood saw and got her arm. That's the story, anyway; all the damage is actually faked using her shape-changing ability.

Ace of Hearts is sort of a crime-fighting agent. Kitty and the others are used as information-gathering agents at different levels of street society. "Kitty" is intended to draw the attention of the sort of people who despise the homeless and would actually harm them or give them tainted food.

If anyone is considering commissioning this guy, do it. He really puts life into my characters, and he's the first and only person to draw these.

The Ace of Hearts is a superheroine of the Batman variety, using agility, speed and mental prowess (but no actual superpowers). She's a shapeshifter, a non-magical ability in my characters' world, and Angela, Kayla and "Kitty" are her information-gathering forms, so detailed that they're almost separate people. "Kitty" is a little homeless kid, who lost an eye and an arm in separate incidents. She's very timid and skittish.
