So I finally got around to scheduling my very first tattoo appointment! For those of you who know me, know that I've been wanting to get this particular design for well over 9 years or so.
This is a memorial to my Grandmother, Buba. She made me who I am today. She was with me every day throughout my childhood and into high school when she passed away. My family is of Ukrainian roots, and snowflakes are for love and remembrance. My grandmother was also so unique inn every single way, just like a snowflake :) There are 10 snowflakes, for the 10th month of the year, October. Buba was both born in and passed away in October. It's on my right shoulder because whenever I was having a hard time, sad, and just all around not feeling well; Buba would rub my shoulder to help console me. I love and miss her every day.
But my experience? It honestly hand to God didn't hurt very much at all. In fact, I fell asleep in the chair at one point cause I was so comfy :p I could definitely feel it, but I had an AMAZING time. It took about 5-6 hours to complete and I couldn't be happier with it!!

I know your gram is smiling down from Heaven that you made a permanent memorial of her, and like you said she was very unique, aren't grandma's wonderful, all of them .... I still have my one gram on my mom's side, last month (January) she turned 102 years old. This was a very sweet tribute to her. Darn it, now you are making me want to go get one for Bandit and I want a nice wolf too. *hugs you and Dave bear*. SB.
