Nope. In fact, Smash was both the first time he wore pants as well as the first time he's looked feminine in his official art.

...Well, I can always take off his pants. :<

In the first Fire Emblem game Marth's official art made him look kinda like a spartan, only with a shirt, so he had no pants and was pretty masculine. In the sequal he was changed to have some armor, but was still masculine and lacked pants.

Then Smash came along and redesigned him again, and this time he now wore pants and looked much more effeminate. His official art for the upcoming DS game seems to follow part of Smash's trend by making him wear pants, but apparently the one who drew it (Masamune Shirow) decided to keep him masculine.

I just looked back and noticed that the way Ceceil's grabbing Marth's sheath (fucking furries) scabbard is totally naughty. o////o
